Well I must say that I was pretty chuffed today when I opened NetNewsWire to read my daily dose of blogs when I cam across Shaun’s Grove’s blog to find that he had written about my link to him (in the right column) and recommending my humble blog as something to read!
Shaun Groves, musician, song writer, performer, author and advocate for Compassion International and a fellow discipler from the USA, linked to me from his blog - shlog recently, encouraging folks to read mine after I linked to his blog. I must admit that I have been an avid reader of Shaun’s blog (hence the name - shlog) - very cool looking design of an open newspaper, coffee stains and all - for some time now, reading his insights and travels with Compassion International to Haiti, as well his thoughts and work with IKON, a college and young adult Bible study he began co-teaching at his church lat year. Also really enjoyed relating to his posts while his wife was away - including the videos!
I am pleased he has started to also read Alan Hirsch’s blog - The Forgotten Ways - recently, I know that he’ll enjoy that (and I hope hear and meet Al sometime!)
If you get a chance to hear Shaun speak or play - I have only heard him online - I would recommend it! Otherwise, have a look at his site and enjoy Shaun’s music and musings!

Gismodo have just published what most of those in the industry suspected, and for those of us wanting one, were desperate to hear. Apple will be releasing the 3G iPhone at the WWDC Keynote on June 9th in the USA - and then sales of the new phone will be available World Wide.
I have been following the iPhone in Australia blog for sometime now as they have attempted to scour the net for news of the imminent release of the new iPhone in Oz. Just checked them and even this news has yet to hit their pages!
I have used Treos and other Palm devices with my Mac(s) and while the Palm OS was great with the Mac OS, in my view Palm lost the plot when they added Microsoft’s Mobile OS to the Treo - I guess because of the telephone side of things but still - a pain to use none-the-less! Even with MarkSpace’s program I have found the Treo unreliable, fickly and generally a pain to use. At one stage I used an early iMate with my Mac with much less hassles - even syncing Contacts and Calendar with no hassles - unlike the 90% failure rate I get with the Treo.
Yeah, you can call me an Apple evangelist - but I find that all Apple products work beautifully with one another and perform their jobs effortlessly. So I am looking forward to a long-awaited device that will allow me to carry my “life” in the palm of my hand and is uber easy to use.
Now all I have to do is save up for one!
