GetUp! - a non-profit action group I belong to is taking the national reconciliation conversation that began on April 29 in over 350 local groups of indigenous and non-indigenous Australians to Central Australian communities - creating a virtual realtionship by asking us to record and upload video questions to their website.

The April 29 night was held in cafes, pubs, community halls and living rooms across the nation to begin a conversation of turning reconciliation into reconcili-action. Sharing stories was the focus of the night, with experiences and understanding crucial aspects of the discussions that took place. I regret that I was not able to attend the night - so the opportunity of asking a question via video and having it seen and answered by those in Central Australian communities is one I plan to take up.
The GetUp! Site has some samples of the video questions they are after such as; Who in your community are the decision makers for the community? So, sign up on the GetUp! site - the pledge page has the sample videos and once you sign up you’ll be sent some simple instructions to film and upload your own question.
