Lucy,

Thanks for the comment! I guess in my very limited meeting, reading and understanding of Aussie Anabaptism, that perhaps I have a very small view of what Anabaptism is around the world.

What I was trying to say is that I from what I have read that I do identify much with Anabaptist theology but where legalism enters the picture, I want to stay well away! Perhaps you could share some examples of the legalism you decribe?

Shalom, Neal

I thought it is interesting that you do not call Anabaptists legalistic. Many do regard us to be legalistic.

My melbourne geography is pretty ordinairy, but I know that UnitingCare recently launched a Direct2Care service in the eastern suburbs. The intent is to provide a single point of contact for clients to take some of the confusion out of the system of multiple aid providers. I think they are based in or near Knox.

Cheers!

The sequel to “Pagan Christianity?” is out now. It’s called “Reimagining Church”. It picks up where “Pagan Christianity” left off and continues the conversation. (“Pagan Christianity” was never meant to be a stand alone book; it’s part one of the conversation.) “Reimagining Church” is endorsed by Leonard Sweet, Shane Claiborne, Alan Hirsch, and many others. You can read a sample chapter at http://www.ReimaginingChurch.org. It’s also available on Amazon.com. Frank is also blogging now at http://frankviola.wordpress.com/
