• Tuscan is home!

    NiallJuly 14, 2008

Well, some good news! Tuscan came through the surgery and the recovery and is back home with Tim and Jay and improving daily after the trauma of surgery on his heart. If you’re on Facebook and know Tim and Jay - go check the pics out of the little guy!

God is great and I thank and praise him for the answers of the many prayers for Tuscan’s surgery and health!

    NiallJuly 9, 2008

I recieved a text message late yesterday afternoon from Tim and Jay with the great news that Tuscan had gone through surgery successfuly  and was now in ICU and on ventilhation etc. The next hurdle is slowly bringing him back to consciousness and getting him off the life support - so please continue to pray for him! And, thanks for keeping them in your prayers!

    Prayers for baby Tuscan

    NiallJuly 8, 2008

A couple, Tim and Jay, have a new baby boy that is about to undergo heart surgery today (Tuesday AM, Melbourne time). His name is Tuscan and from the pics on Facebook he is both gorgeous and a handful for mum and dad!

I would ask that you keep this family, in particular Tuscan, and the many skilled surgeons and team that are going to operate today on his tiny heart, in your prayers and close to your thoughts as they operate this morning (Melbourne time). Apparently some of the toughest moments will be when they restart his heart.

This brings tears to my eyes when I think of what this little guy is going to undergo! And not too mention how mum and dad must be feeling! But I pray, and believe in prayer, and would ask that you too take this little boy and the surgery to our Father.

I will keep you posted once I hear some news.

At The Trouble with Paris Book Launch

    NiallJune 15, 2008

Well, today (you may recall I posted about the upcoming event here) was the book launch for Mark Sayers‘ book, “The Trouble with Paris” at the place that Red East meets, and I was lucky enough to go along with Darren C after dropping his daughter and my son at their classmates birthday party at Hungry Jacks (Burger King for you Yanks!). We arrived in Box Hill about an hour early and went for a walk to a cafe in the Box Hill arcade - man that place has changed. Sorry there are no pics of the event - I didn’t have my camera with me, so I will see if there are any published on Mark’s blog later!

Anyway, we went back to the East Red office up some stairs into a really cool space that Red East meets in. There were some folk there I had seen before at similar events so it was good to make some new friends and acquaintances. I was also pleasantly surprised to bump into an old mate from my sojourn at Oxley College as well as some folk I had met at a recent job interview.

    Grassroots Resources

    NiallMay 20, 2008

My mates, Warwick and Dave run idearipple and Lampstand Productions, working with organisations such as Forge to share the resources from the conferences on their website. They have just finished the Forge Grassroots Mission Festival DVD sets.

You can order the DVD’s and audio CD’s from their website, idearipple.
